L ocated in downtown Champaign, No Regrets Tattoos and Body Piercing was started by Matt Stines and Katie Cain as a tattoo parlor that would cater to those thinking outside the box. Cain, a former graphic designer and current tattoo artist at No Regrets, says the studio was “an answer to all the trailer park tattoo shops people were running out of their garages.” After they relocated to Champaign from Chicago, Stines and Cain focused on providing a “variety of styles while pushing the limit on techniques,” Cain said.
Stines and Cain were influenced by the tattoo trends they observed while working in Chicago and decided to bring the styles and techniques to the Champaign-Urbana area. “Working in Chicago really pushed us to think creatively and try new things,” Cain said. They now cater to a wide variety of customers, ranging from students to locals from the outlying areas.
For all those with unique ideas about their ink who want customized tattoos that represent their individuality, No Regrets is the studio for you. “We’re trying out the newest equipment and treating tattoos as an evolving art form,” Cain said. “No Regrets is about breaking out of the mold.”
