Where: Downtown Champaign

Come out and join various Bluegrass, Blues, and Jazz musicians who’ll be performing over downtown Champaign! The series begins at 6 p.m. and will continue on Fridays throughout the summer.

What: “The Lady from Shanghai”

When: Thursday, July 7

Where: Art Theatre Co-op

Orson Welles’s classic, “The Lady From Shanghai” stars the director himself, and is known for its intricate camera work and set design. The film follows along as Welles’s character, Michael O’Hara, falls for the married Rosalie Bannister, played by Rita Hayworth, as their relationship is explored through a series of double crosses.

What: Summer Quad Cinema Series “The Boss”

Where: Main Quad

When: Thursday, July 7

Join fellow students and community members for a screening of Ben Falcone’s “The Boss.” The film is centered on character Michelle Darnell, a character Melisa McCarthy wrote when she was a member of The Groundlings.
